I believe in freedom of speech and freedom of information. Disinformation or suppression
of information by whatever authority does not advance the human condition, it is merely a means
of maintaining power and privilege in the hands of a minority to the greater detriment of the
majority of a population. I do NOT, however, advocate breaking any local or international law.
As a British Citizen, I am guaranteed freedom of thought and freedom of expression by
The UK Human Rights Act 1998,
which came into force on the 2nd October 2000. It incorporates the Convention for the Protection
of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, agreed by the Council of Europe at Rome on
4th November 1950, into British law. Among the articles it contains are these:
Article 9. Freedom of thought, conscience and religion
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes
freedom to change his religion or belief and freedom, either alone or in community with others
and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief, in worship, teaching, practice and
observance.
Article 10. Freedom of expression
Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold
opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority
and regardless of frontiers.
In publishing the material, documentary and opinions, on this site, I am asserting my legal right
in British law mentioned above to freedom of expression. This site contains information, stories,
art, discussion about and explicit photographic images of consensual adult male/male sex
(homosexuality) and SM (sadomasochism) and CP (corporal punishment).
Humans have a strong interest in sex, but it is relatively rare to encounter rational
discussion about sex, even between partners. As with all activities about which people are
passionate, and which involve biological drives, the topic of sexuality is rife with controversy,
